: stoneland farm | Chestertown, MD : a landscape installation project that emphasizes the natural shape of the land by using large flat native, locally quarried stone and terracing to delineate the existing elevations, and which uses curvalinear fencelines and bedlines to mimic water currents and windy wetland grasses of the Chester River ecosystem. this land used to be farmed but now is growing native grasses, sedges and perennials, returning the landscape to its previous, less developed, form with vernal flooding as it veers closer to the river’s edge. the private land is now a family camp for exploration, experience of natural elements, weather, sun and star light.
